REACh Registration requires a complete set of physical/chemical, toxicological and eco-toxicological data. Data gap analysis of existing studies is a main part of the REACh registration work.
It can be expected to need a lot of new studies due to the fact that existing studies have too low KLIMISCH scores or mandatory studies are still missing. After the check of the IUCLID 5 data set handed over at the registration act in the most cases the proposed animal test have to be run. All these studies have to be done under GLP (Good Laboratory Practise). Due to the huge demand the capacity of certified labs within Europe will not be sufficient.
